And There Was Light!

The lightbulb at the bottom of the stairs (that was supposed to last 3-4 years and lasted about 1) burned out.  This may not seem like a horrible thing, but the bulb is circular and is hard to find.  When I finally found it the last time it was around $10.  Maybe I was just frustrated that it didn't last the projected time, but I told Dan that maybe we should just look for a new light fixture that takes regular easy to find and easy on the pocket book bulbs.  He was surprisingly ok with it.  We found a great clearance one for $15 at Lowe's.  They had cheaper ones, but they were ugly.  Next task, um, Dan's never done anything electrical.  We made sure the power was off!

My sweaty man hard at work.  (Dan wants me to mention that he had just come home from a 3 mile morning run and he is not always that sweaty.)
Voila!  It looks like it's good.  Now we see if he did it right.

Hoorah!  Great job my handy man!  Now the basement light matches ones upstairs.  We have a special name for them, we're pretty confident that a perverted man designed them!
