These are moments in June I was able to capture on my phone (I rarely have my camera handy these days.) excluding all the birthday celebrations:
Elliott's 1st grade musical "Hats!" on June 6th.
Swim lessons. The first lesson I was nervous because my fish Avery refused to get in the water.
Then she remembered how fun it was and wouldn't get out! She loves to swim and learned a lot this year. She's not too buoyant on her own yet, but can swim all over the pool solo when you give her arm floaties!
Roswell did a fantastic job too! He is getting more adventurous and can swim with floaties solo and is not scared to do head bobs anymore.
These two goofballs lost a tooth on the same day! 6-22-13
Even though we didn't have a kindergartener this year, Dan was asked to make them another pirate. He gladly accepted!
The kids had a school spirit day where they were supposed to wear tie dye. So I looked up instructions on YouTube and went to town.
It was actually fun and super easy to make! And the kids really enjoyed the unique designs with colors they chose.
Enjoying time with Nama Earl while the boys are in school.
Color time with Papa Earl.
Playing Pokémon with Papa Earl.
Aunt Nessa and Uncle Conrad sent the kids fun grow animals with their birthday gifts, so we had fun watching them grow.
Small to start...
Much bigger!
After years of begging, we finally started Elliott with piano lessons with Miss Kara. He is so excited and gung-ho about it! After his first lesson, he practiced through his assignments 3 different times without even being asked once! He loves playing the piano and loves to make up his own songs too!
For Dan's service to the community, he was sent a medal and a certificate from President Obama. It is the Volunteer Service Award. What a nice honor, even if it's from a president we're not fond of!
Dan has been the young men president and scoutmaster and therefore got to go to boy scout camp for a week with our Church troop. He came home with fun experiences, lots of training under his belt, VERY stinky clothes, and the start of facial hair. We thought it would be fun to see how much hair he could grow in a week. We found out the hair on his scalp grows much faster. :) I think we'll keep him clean-shaven from now on. :)
