Festivities. . .

that knocked our socks off!
(Avery loves to rub her socks off while she lounges!)
Because Halloween was on the Sabbath this year, we celebrated early! We had lots of dressing up during the preceding week and topped it off with our Trunk or Treat activity at the Church on Friday night.

Here's my cuties! Mickey Mouse, Cowboy with horse Bullseye, Super Why, and Petunia Skunk. It was sooooo cold and windy! A funny moment was when we were gathered around the hot cider and doughnuts, a little girl who we barely know gave Roswell a huge hug. My first thought was that she knew him from church, but I realized that she had only been there maybe once while visiting her grandma. Then I heard her later talking about Mickey Mouse. It made me smile. She loves Mickey so much that she had to give my Mickey a big hug - so cute!
Saturday we got to decorate some pumkins. They started using crayons because Dan couldn't find the markers. Note: crayons don't work so well. :) We later got the markers out and re-did the wonderful drawings.
Elliott drew a monster face.

Donovan drew a monster on one side and a pirate face on the other.

Roswell was just excited to draw on the pumpkin!

Daddy helped him draw a face, then Ross gave it a kiss. He yells "hi" to it when we drive from our house.
Avery had lots of outfits to wear this year. It was fun to dress her up! And she was happy to comply. :) In addition to the cow (previous post) she was also:
Petunia Skunk (notice the bows?) You can compare her with her brother's skunk pics here. They are definitely related! (I just realized that 2 years ago we also had the same cowboy/mickey combo.)
I let all my babies dress as a skunk because I love how the outfit turned out.

And for church, she looked like a princess!
(This happens to be a 12 month dress - It fits perfectly and she's only 4 1/2 months!)
