Overnight

Yesterday our oak tree in front was all dark green and leafy. It rained all night and this is what I woke up to.

Beautiful, bright yellow leaves ALL over the tree.

(It used to be as dark as the pine tree to the right of the pic.)

I just stared at it forever, it is so pretty. It's amazing how something can change so drastically overnight. Just one more thing to be in awe of that our Heavenly Father created.

Smiling Moments

7-?-11 We were traveling to somewhere and the boys asked which way we were going. I told them that we were going to turn left. Then from the back seat, Roswell pipes up "Mommy, choose the right! When the choice is before us, choose the right!" I'm glad someone is listening. :)
5-21-11 While watching Daddy race, Elliott says, "Mommy, I know which one Daddy is. He's the one with a peach face." I think they all had peach colored skin that day, but I'm glad he could tell Daddy apart.
5-4-11 Roswell has been saying "no" to everything we say lately, just to be difficult (terrible twos). Usually I just put on a pouty face and look sad and he will smile and say "ok, mommy!" and do what he's supposed to. Today, I did the pouty face when he wouldn't eat his dinner, and instead of telling me he would take a bite he says, "don't be mad, be glad!" and then laughs. It was so funny. Apparently the glad trash bag commercials have been reappearing and the kids have seen it. I guess the pouty faces aren't going to work anymore.
