Having to go through a network of doctors and dentists sometimes stinks. I got to visit a dentist (Aspen Dental) for a cleaning in July and they gave me lots of problems (thank goodness I didn't need anything but a cleaning-no cavities!). I decided to give them a second chance and scheduled my boys 2 months in advance for a cleaning and boy howdy they messed up again! Saying I only scheduled one child instead of all 3 and giving me an incorrect time to boot and saying I'll have to reschedule because the one lady working had an appointment and couldn't wait for me (my appt wasn't supposed to start for another 30 minutes!). That was it! I found a new dentist immediately. I found this new place (Healthy Smiles) in network and I love them! They are great with kids and there were no problems with scheduling them all together or with billing or anything!
Roswell's 1st Dentist visit! He was great and did everything they asked, and had no cavities!
Elliott getting his fluoride. He had fun and no cavities!
Donovan having his fluoride treatment. He didn't have so much fun as his brothers because he ended up having 5 cavities! I guess I haven't been checking his brushings as I should! He got shots, and got drilled and filled. At first he thought it would be cool to have silver teeth (they were still baby molar teeth) and wanted to show them off. He realized, after we told him that that wasn't something to be proud of, that he didn't want his friends to think he wasn't a good teeth brusher and thus didn't tell them. I think he learned a good lesson about paying more attention on how he brushes and for how long. I learned to do teeth checks when they are done brushing to make sure it is efficient. I didn't realize how costly having cavities is! I will definitely be checking better for the future!
