Our cousin Aidan sent us Flat Stanley from Florida to spend some time in Michigan for a project in his kindergarten class. For those who are unfamiliar with Flat Stanley, there is a book about him and in this story he gets squashed by a blackboard and is able to be sent in the mail to lots of different places. Kids get to send him to places around the world and he gets to explore the new place to learn about it and get lots of pictures and souvenirs. Then he reports back to his original home to tell what he did. These are some of the fun things we took him to do.
Flat Stanley got to play in the snow!
We took him to the Michigan Historical Museum where he learned about Michigan's music history, especially Motown.

Who knew? Stanley even got to go to old-time school with the boys!
He got to visit the State Capitol building in Lansing.
Of course, he had to visit Spartan Stadium! Go MSU!
I think he loved playing in the snow best of all.
And because snow is so cold, we had to make sure he had an MSU sweatshirt to take as a souvenir.
Thanks for letting us have fun with Flat Stanley Aidan!
