A Blessed Holiday

Today we had Avery receive a name and blessing at church. My mom has always wanted to make a blessing dress for a grandchild. All the boys got to use the same gown that Nama Earl made for Daddy and Aunt Amy. So I promised my mom that if we ever had a girl, that she could make the blessing gown. She was excited when we found out Avery was coming, and she did such a beautiful job! It was perfect. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing!

Beautiful girl!

Since I didn't want her to mess in her beautiful gown, we also had her wear this. (Sorry it's sideways, I can't get it to right itself.)

And she also got to wear this outfit, because it is the 4th of July!
What else does that mean????
FIREWORKS!!!
(I love how they're legal in Michigan!)
Dan, Elder Mayne, and Jake giving us a show.
- We also invited the LDS missionaries over to enjoy the show. The only stinky part is that it doesn't get dark until around 10 pm, so everyone was up a bit late.

Let the show begin.

Shouldn't have surprised me, but Donovan was freaked out by the fire again this year.

Looks better in the dark.

The kids having fun with the pop its.

The boys having their fun with the flowers.

Sparkler fun.

Zowie was too fast to get a non-blurry picture!

Elliott

Very cool.

Even Roswell was brave. (He actually tried to put it out and got a little burn)

Elder Meldrum helping Donovan so that he could have some firework fun.
Happy Independence Day!
