Happy Easter!

This Easter was lots of fun. It was Elliott's 1st and Donovan understood more this year.

We actually started festivities on Saturday. Our church put on a community BBQ and had 400 eggs for the kids to hunt. Dono had so much fun. He didn't want to wait for me, when they said "GO!" he just took off and started collecting eggs. It was fun to watch him so 'egg'cited! Elliott had fun watching as he got to hang out with Nama Earl while Mommy and Papa went hunting too. (Daddy was making sure kids didn't run onto the busy street during the hunt.)

Getting ready for the hunt.

I got one!

Then we got to have more fun at Great-Grandma's house where we saw Nama and Papa Elliott, more cousins, ate, and got to find more eggs.

The hunting was getting easier towards the end of the day.

Elliott and Mommy chillin.

Then on Easter Sunday, Dan and I were asked by the bishop in our church to give a talk to the congregation on the subject of the atonement of our Savior. It was nice to prepare for our talks. We read accounts of Jesus' atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane and of His crucifixion and resurrection from the scriptures and it really brought a nice spirit to Easter this year. I think we did a good job.

We had fun with celebrations, and I am grateful to know the reason why we celebrate. I am so grateful for all that our Savior sacrificed for us so that when our time on the earth is through, we will also be resurrected and be able to live with God again.

As an added bonus, our church building gymnasium floors were being resurfaced (stinking badly) thus allowing us to go home a little early. We then went to Nama and Papa Earl's house for dinner and more celebration. It was a great day.
