Visitors

Mom, Milt, & Nancy
This week has been quite the busy one. With my dad getting quadruple bipass heart surgery, it was a welcome relief to have Uncle Milt and Aunt Nancy come for a quick visit. Milt is my dad's brother that lives in Delaware. When he and Nancy found out that the surgery was inevitable, they booked a flight. It had been 22 years since the brothers last saw each other, and the time had come to see each other again. Almost. There were ice storms that cancelled all flights coming out of Baltimore. They were to stay at the airport for 2 more days till they could catch another flight. But Milt and Nancy were troopers and stayed in the terminals instead of going to a hotel. Lucky they did, they were able to catch a stand-by flight a whole day ahead of the scheduled delay. It was fun catching up on lost time and the old days as dad started his recovery. We know we'll visit again real soon. We won't let time pass us by anymore. That's one of two things I've learned from dad's continuing ordeal, make the most of this time you have been blessed with, and secondly, take care of your body.
