We also got to go to the beach, which is only 15 minutes away from Amy's house. Elliott seemed to love it (except for the wind that made him want to hold his breath a lot), and Dono at least seemed to like the sand this time. He still freaked out with the water. It was too cold to go in, but Dan still pretended like he was going to throw Dono in. I'm sure Dono loved that. I don't think he'll be getting over that fear anytime soon.

Then we went to the Port Saint Lucie River, where Malcolm (Jason's dad) took us on a boat. While heading to the dock, this is the sign we saw:

The last visit to Florida we went boating on the Indian River and saw dolphins and manatees in the wild, so I was kind of looking forward to seeing a wild alligator (from far away of course). We didn't have any luck seeing any gators, but we did have fun watching herons and pelicans.

We couldn't figure out why Donovan was so somber until Dan saw that his arm happened to be stuck in the life jacket. Poor gimpy! He enjoyed the ride much more after he was freed.
