I'll Do It Myself

It's been a long time since I last blogged, sorry. I will back-track. I've been quite busy. Looking back I can't recall what took so much time besides getting my ideas and reading done for my book club and covering my couches.

My couch covers. (Don't they look great?)

My mom helped me get the patterns right and helped me get started. I am very happy with the results. Now I can change the pillow colors if I want and no more couch stuffing is poking out. Yeah!

But as for the title of this blog, Donovan is going through a phase where he has to do everything himself.

This is the face I sometimes get when I want to get things done quickly but Dono disagrees. He has also figured out how to put his own socks on (which took a while to figure out). Now he puts on not only his socks, but any socks that happen to be lying around.

Smiling Moments

7-?-11 We were traveling to somewhere and the boys asked which way we were going. I told them that we were going to turn left. Then from the back seat, Roswell pipes up "Mommy, choose the right! When the choice is before us, choose the right!" I'm glad someone is listening. :)
5-21-11 While watching Daddy race, Elliott says, "Mommy, I know which one Daddy is. He's the one with a peach face." I think they all had peach colored skin that day, but I'm glad he could tell Daddy apart.
5-4-11 Roswell has been saying "no" to everything we say lately, just to be difficult (terrible twos). Usually I just put on a pouty face and look sad and he will smile and say "ok, mommy!" and do what he's supposed to. Today, I did the pouty face when he wouldn't eat his dinner, and instead of telling me he would take a bite he says, "don't be mad, be glad!" and then laughs. It was so funny. Apparently the glad trash bag commercials have been reappearing and the kids have seen it. I guess the pouty faces aren't going to work anymore.
