And girl smiley! When she's not happy she surely lets us know, but most of the time this is her favorite look. We love it! She's also taken up singing! She loves to make noises and makes different faces while making them. She's so fun to watch!
This is a picture of Avery and Daddy watching college football. As you can see she is fixed on the tv. Dan said she only wanted to watch Notre Dame. When the channel was switched or a goal was made against ND she would cry. I think Dan finally found a buddy to watch the games with (I'm not a fan)!
She now fits into this 9 month outfit! She is only 3 months!
And she seems to have found her thumb. She surely belongs to our family! If only I knew of a good way to get them to stop sucking their thumbs when they're older.
They had so much fun. This is a picture of them feeding the chickens. Roswell kept chasing them. At one point he was chasing the chickens and yelling "Chicken Diiiiiiiinner" it was hilarious! My friend and I had to run him down just to make sure he didn't torture the poor creatures and/or run into the road.
He had such a blast. Dono is in an all-boy classroom this year. He's happy to be with some friends and his teacher seems to be really nice. We didn't have any crying this year! In fact we stopped at his drop-off spot and he just about ran out because he saw a friend. We made him kiss us first. He's definitely growing up! He told us his day was great. He had one little mix-up with lunch time (he ordered a lunch when I packed his lunch, so he got 2 lunches), but other than that it went without a hitch.
Since Dan took the day off, Elliott got to help him spread some of our new wood chips on our walk way. (If you haven't heard our crazy way that we got our wood chips, you will in two more posts!)
Then Elliott started pre-school! I'm doing it with him at home like I did with Donovan. He is loving it. Because he watched while Donovan was learning, he is starting off so smart! He can already read and write a few words! He's catching on very quickly!

Chimpanzees. Sorry they're sideways. Elliott also loves monkeys. Once in a while you'll hear Elliott & Donovan talking about mean monkeys flinging poo at each other (we discourage this), but we saw evidence that some primate was throwing it. There was ick high on the walls and even smudges on the viewing glass. EW!
An iguana. This guy made me think of my B.I.L. Stephan. He used to have one.

I guess there were some pretty strong winds during the night. For one of our HUGE trees fell on our house!
Of course Dan woke me up to see this. Not the kind of yard work we were planning on doing today!
Dan and I couldn't believe that we didn't hear this thing fall. Dan and I stayed up late watching a movie the night before, and Dan didn't get to bed till around 2am. I woke up to feed Avery @ 6am, so it must have happened between those times. Boy we must have been sleeping hard!
The garage door seems to have been missed, but there was no way to get the cars out anyway. I guess Dan was getting a day off from work today whether he wanted to or not. :)
We called our insurance to see what we should do. They told us it would be 1-2 business days until someone could come out to inspect. What??? It's Labor Day weekend! They wouldn't be here until the middle of next week! We need to be able to get our cars out of the garage! So they told us to get a professional tree service to take care of it and to take lots of pictures. (We took over 200 pictures.) They didn't want us to cause more damage by doing it ourselves I guess.

Our friends the Smiths came right over when we asked if we could borrow their chainsaw. They parked on our lawn (there was no room on the driveway) and gave front row seats for the boys to watch the cool tree guys.
